The primary focuses of a Trustee Elias Cunningham

Open Transparency

A voice for our teachers

Open Transparency

Our community deserves clear, honest, and accessible leadership. Transparency is not optional, it is the foundation of trust.

  • Advocate for simplified summaries that are easy for all to understand clearly

  • Post consistent public updates after board meetings on all platforms

  • Encourage open forums and roundtables for consistent updates for the community

  • Communicate and make clear the issues that we face as a district within our schools rather then paint a false "Perfect Picture."

  • Ensure check and balances are well established when needed on district leadership

Parental Rights

A voice for our teachers

Open Transparency

Parents are essential partners in education, especially when it's their child. Their voices must be respected, informed, and actively included in decision making.

  • Foster stronger communication between the WCSD and families

  • Encourage curriculum transparency and accessible information

  • Promote parent feedback opportunities through surveys and forums

  • Ensure district policies reflect meaningful family engagement and inclusivity

Combating a growing drug crisis

Our teachers are the backbone of our schools. Supporting them strengthens the entire district.

  • Advocate for consistent dialogue between the Board and educators

  • Support meaningful professional development

  • Prioritize classroom & teacher  needs during budget discussions

  • Promote a culture of respect and collaboration rather then a "White House" acting alone

  • Address the major Teacher retention issues & work conditions that effect how our teachers and staff are able to do their best work

Fiscal Responsibility & collaboration with officials

Combating a growing drug crisis

Student safety and well being must remain a top priority. Prevention and early intervention are critical in addressing substance abuse.

  • Advocate for expanded prevention education programs

  • Foster new infinitives to combat ongoing vaping in the restrooms which ultimately leads to peer pressure tactics, clogged pipes and an unsafe environment

  • Support early intervention resources for students in need through possible assignments & assemblies

  • Encourage parent education workshops on warning signs

Fiscal Responsibility & collaboration with officials

Fiscal Responsibility & collaboration with officials

Our district should be proactive in securing resources, building relationships, and bringing opportunities home for our students.

  • Work collaboratively with state and county officials to pursue grants

  • Advocate for funding that supports safety, special education, and infrastructure

  • Maintain open communication with local government leaders

  • Ensure the district actively seeks external support when necessary

  • Advocate to cut reckless and unnecessary contracts within our budget. As your school tax dollars continue to rise, so does the salaries for those at the top. We need transparency on that front through and through period.

Listening to lead

Fiscal Responsibility & collaboration with officials

Fiscal Responsibility & collaboration with officials

.Effective leadership begins with listening. Every student, teacher, and family deserves to feel heard.

  • Hold regular community listening sessions

  • Create accessible digital feedback forms

  • Meet directly with educators to understand classroom challenges and concerns

  • Engage student voices in policy discussions

I seek to address the issues I witness and hear that are ongoing everyday. We cannot continue to accept the bare minimum when it comes to our districts way of communication. Expect more and demand better.
