HELP FUEL THIS CAMPAIGN
HELP FUEL THIS CAMPAIGN

Hi neighbor, I'm an 18 year old senior at Washingtonville High School with a deep commitment to the community that raised me. My passion for public service began at just 12 years old, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when I saw firsthand how policy decisions directly impacted families, students, and small businesses.

For two years, I have served as an Administrative Aid under Assemblyman Brian Maher. In that role, I worked directly with community organizations, small businesses, local leaders, and school districts across the region. I helped navigate constituent services, supported local initiatives, and gained hands on experience understanding how government decisions affect real people. Those experiences didn’t just expose me to leadership it trained me in it.

Today, I serve as a political strategist for campaigns across the Hudson Valley and as Media Coordinator for the Democratic Caucus of the Orange County Legislature. Through these roles, I have developed a strong understanding of communication, coalition building, and policy advocacy. I’ve seen firsthand what effective leadership looks like, and what happens when it’s absent.

These experiences have shaped my belief in active, transparent, and unifying leadership that prioritizes progress over rhetoric. That is the standard I will bring to the Washingtonville Central School District Board of Education.

GROUNDED IN PUTTING OTHERS FIRST

Growing up, my mother instilled in me the value of putting others first and helping wherever I could.

She had me at a young age, and while raising me and my siblings, she often worked multiple jobs, at one point, as many as four just to provide for our family. Watching her work tirelessly, support us, and still find ways to help others shaped the person I am today. From a young age, I followed her example. I volunteered wherever I could - from environmental organizations to local community efforts, always looking for ways to give back. That foundation of service is what motivated me to launch my campaign for the Washingtonville Central School District Board of Education.

There are issues facing our schools that can no longer be pushed aside. They must be addressed with urgency, transparency, and action, now.

MY MOTIVATION TO RUN

My motivation came from the belief that our schools should be built on a foundation of trust, transparency, and collaboration.

I’ve spoken with teachers, staff, students, and families who feel unheard. Educators, the very people shaping the next generation deserve leadership that listens to their concerns, values their expertise, and supports them in the classroom. When teachers feel respected and empowered, our students succeed.

I’ve also heard from community members who want greater transparency and clearer communication from district leadership. A strong school district isn’t just about budgets and policies, it’s also about building confidence in the decisions being made. Families deserve to understand how and why decisions happen. Our schools should be a steady, unifying foundation for this community. They should reflect accountability, academic excellence, student safety, and mutual respect.

I’m running because I believe we can strengthen that foundation together and ensure Washingtonville remains a district where students, teachers, and families feel supported and proud.
